1 Samuel

1 Samuel records the lives of Samuel and Saul, and much of the life of David. 1 Samuel begins with the birth of Samuel and his training in the temple. In the second chapter you have Hanna's Prayer and then starting it verse 12 of the same chapter you have Eli's wicked Son. Then in verse 27 it talks about the prophecy against the house of Eli. In chapter 3 The Lord calls Samuel. Chapter 4 The Philistines capture the ark. In chapter 5 The Ark in Ashdod and Ekron.In chapter 6 The ark return to Israel. In Chapters 9 through 15 talks about Saul being the first king of Israel. In chapter 16 Samuel Anoints David. Chapter 17 David and Goliath. Chapters 18-30 are about David and Saul. And In 31 1-13 it tells about Saul's death.
