Romans 10:9
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Are you willing to make this great confession before mankind? If so Jesus will confess your name before the Father in heaven.
We confess our belief in Jesus Christ as the one who saves us...
Jesus spoke of some in His day who believed that He was the promised Messiah but who remained unsaved. The Bible says in John 12:42 "Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue." Remember that Jesus said in Matthew 10:32-33 "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." To refuse to confess Jesus is to deny Him. The chief rulers believed on Him but they would not confess their faith in Christ before men and therefore Jesus would not confess them before the Father. Yes, one may believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God but becoming a Christian involves more than mere belief. Jesus said "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). Do you think that one could be saved without loving Christ? Yet, love for Christ is expressed in ones willingness to submit himself to the commands that Jesus Christ has given recorded for us in the pages of the New Testament. It is sad that men have accepted the teaching that salvation is by "faith only," especially since the Bible so clearly says that it is not. You ask, where does it say that? In James 2:24 we read, "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." Is that clear enough friends? Will we accept it for what it says?

Repent
Like love and faith, repentance motivates action. It motivates us to hate sin and love righteousness, and thus it motivates us to flee from sin and to "bring forth fruit ... worthy of repentance."
Repentance is a most painful process, and the longer we put it off, the more painful it becomes. Yet, when we allow God's word to work in us we learn what Jesus meant by a "light yoke" (Mt. 11:28) and Paul by "...the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension," (Phil. 4:7).
Repentance is a turning away from sin as a result of godly sorrow; confession is its positive counterpart.
Sin may be attractive, but it is what separates us from God according to Isaiah 59:2-
"...your iniquities (sins) have separated between you and your God."
Therefore, if we want God's forgiveness, we must be willing to repent of our sins.
Repentance means "turning away from sin." We must do this and make the constant effort to sin no more. In Luke 13:3 Jesus said this about the need for repentance-
"...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Please notice also what is said in Acts 17:30 -
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent."
Are you willing to turn away from sin? To renounce sinful behaviors and thoughts and turn to the Lord? If so, then you are on the road to salvation, but you have not done all the Lord commands.

Believe
1. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came into the world as the savior of mankind. In (Matthew 3:17) the Holy Spirit testified that Jesus was the Son of God. In (Matthew 16:13-16) Peter confessed that Jesus was the Son of the living God. The church of Christ believes that Jesus is, THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD."
2. We believe that Jesus came to earth because of the love of God (John 3:16). John tells us that Jesus came to earth, and lived among us for awhile (John 1:18). Peter stated that he was an eyewitness of all that Jesus did while He was here (2 Peter 1:16-18).
3. We believe that the church of Christ is the church Jesus promised to establish (Matthew 16:18-19). We do not have any man, or organization, as our head. Jesus is our head, and all we do is directed by Him (Ephesians 1:22-23).
4. We believed the Bible is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe the Bible is our only authority, it was given by God to inspired men (2 Peter 1:20-21), and it contains all that we need for living godly lives (2 Peter 1:3).
5. We believe there are several steps that must be taken to find salvation.
a. We must hear about Jesus. Paul tells us in (Romans 10:17), "That faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." We proclaim God's word so all men will have the opportunity to hear about the salvation God provides (Romans 10:8-10).
b. We must believe that Jesus is the Son of God (Matthew 16:16). When Peter was asked who Jesus was he replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." We must believe that Jesus is the Son of God sent for the atonement of our sins.
c. We must repent of our sins (Luke 13:3). To repent means to turn away from sin. This means we stop the practice of sinning and live righteously. Repentance means that we have a deep sorrow for having offended God by our sins(2 Corinthians 7:8-10).
d. We must confess that Jesus is the Son of God, our Lord (Matthew 10:32-33). Peter made this same confession in (Matthew 16:16) and we must do so as well.
e. We must be baptized into Jesus for the remission of our sins (Acts 2:38). Our baptism into Jesus is by immersion (Romans 6:3-4). Jesus also taught that we must believe and be baptized into Him (Mark 16:15-16).
f. We must be faithful till death (Revelation 2:10). Our crown comes after a life of faithfulness.

5 Steps 1st Step Hearing
In the next 5 or 6 days I would like to talk to you about 5 easy steps into becoming a Christian.(Or called the plan of salvation) They are hear,believe,repent, confess,and being Baptized. I hope you may receive a blessing from it.
Let us first establish that hearing God's word is a condition of salvation. In John 6:44, Jesus stated: 44"No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day." Note first that this is a condition of salvation: 44" N o one can come to Me, unless ... and I will raise him up on the last day." Now, what does it mean that the "Father ... draws him?" This is explained by the quotation (in verse 45) of Isaiah 54:13:"And they shall all be taught of God." Many think that this implies some miraculous impartation of knowledge. However, the verse goes on to explain this in very natural terms: " Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me." This is not necessarily miraculous, since we all can hear and learn of God from His written word.
The importance of hearing is further impressed on us by Romans 10:17, which is the only verse that we know which tells us specifically how to acquire faith: 17"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." Most religious people know that faith is an important aspect of our relationship with God. However, do they understand what we must hear in order that we may receive "a faith of the same kind as ours" (2 Pet. 1:1) that was held by the apostles?
Jesus associated our salvation with knowing the truth, which is only possible by continuing in His word (John 8:31-32).
Jesus answered in John 8:32: 31"If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." We control what we hear, and what we hear is of the greatest importance.
Jesus said that we must do 21 "... the will of My Father who is in heaven."How do we know what the will of God is? This is given in the next verse: 24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock..." It is essential that we hear (actually listen) to what God has revealed. This first step, learning the truth, is essential to doing God's will.

You Are Not Under A Curse
You are not under the curse! You are under the blessing! Now sometimes it may seem like all you have in your life is the curse – sickness, disease, poverty or lack, no friends, trouble at home, etc. You know at times life can be that way but that is not how God intended it be. That is why God made a way out for you. Jesus came so that you can out from under the curse, so that you could live and walk under the blessings of God. How do you go from being under the curse to being under the blessing? It may take a miracle to get you from where you are to living under the blessing

Against The Rock
There was a man who was asleep one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man He had a work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. This the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.
Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, Satan decided to enter the picture placing thoughts into the man's mind such as; "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't budged. Why kill yourself over this? You are never going to move it? etc." Thus, giving the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man even more. "Why kill myself over this?" he thought. "I'll just put in my time, giving just the minimum of effort and that will be good enough."
And that he planned to do until one day he decided to make it a matter of Prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. "Lord" he said, "I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock a half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?" To this the Lord compassionately, "My friend, when long ago I asked you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to me, your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled; your hands are callused from constant pressure; your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom.
This you have done. I, my friend, will now move the rock."
I now know what my rock is. I don't have to be discouraged anymore. It's my job to obey.

Making Pancakes
Six-year-old Brandon decided one Saturday morning to fix his parents
pancakes. He found a big bowl and spoon, pulled a chair to the counter,
opened the cupboard and pulled out the heavy flour canister spilling it on the floor.
He scooped some of the flour into the bowl with his hands, mixed in most of a cup of milk and added some sugar, leaving a floury trail on the floor which
by now had a few tracks left by his kitten.
Brandon was covered with flour and getting frustrated. He wanted this to be something very good for Mom and Dad, but it was getting very bad.
He didn't know what to do next, whether to put it all into the oven or on
the stove and he didn't know how the stove worked!. Suddenly he saw his
kitten licking from the bowl of mix and reached to push her away, knocking the egg carton to the floor. Frantically he tried to clean up this monumental
mess but slipped on the eggs, getting his pajamas white and sticky.
And just then he saw Dad standing at the door. Big crocodile tears welled up in Brandon 's eyes. All he'd wanted to do was something good, but he'd made
a terrible mess. He was sure a scolding was coming, maybe even a spanking. But his father just watched him.
Then, walking through the mess, he picked up his crying son, hugged him and loved him, getting his own pajamas white and sticky in the process!
That's how God deals with us. We try to do something good in life, but it
turns into a mess. Our marriage gets all sticky, we insult a friend, we can't stand our job, or our health goes sour.
Sometimes we just stand there in tears because we can't think of anything
else to do. That's when God picks us up and loves us and forgives us, even though some of our mess gets all over Him.
But just because we might mess up, we can't stop trying to "make pancakes" for God or for others. Sooner or later we'll get it right, and then they'll be
glad we tried.

Satan's Meeting
Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.In his opening address he said,"We can't keep Christians from going to church.""We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth."" We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their saviour.""Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken.""So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ..""This is what I want you to do," said the devil:"Distract them from gaining hold of their Saviour and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!""How shall we do this?" his demons shouted."Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," he answered."Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow.""Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10- 12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles.""Keep them from spending time with their children.""As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!""Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice.""Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive." To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical mus ic constantly.""This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ.""Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers.""Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day.""Invade their driving moments with billboards.""Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes..""Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become dissatisfied with their wives. ""Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night.""Give them headaches too! ""If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere.""That will fragment their families quickly!""Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas." "Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death.""Even in their recreation, let them be excessive.""Have them return from their recreation exhausted.""Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God's creation. God Is Love
God loves you and that God is love. When you know how much God loves you, it will change you. It will change the way you think. Why worry? God loves you, and no matter what happens everything will work out. The knowledge of God's love for you becomes the foundation for your entire life. Thinking Thought's Of Faith
Philippians 4:8 New International Version (NIV)8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.The Word of God is telling us what to think. To live in faith you will have to discipline your thought life. Let's run a little test. We will start by defining fear. Fear is a confident expectation of something bad or undesirable. Now think on something that is - true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Are you thinking of something that is bad or undesirable? God is training us to think thoughts of "faith" rather than thoughts of "fear". When you discipline yourself to think on these things you are developing your faith. Learn to walk in a confident expectation of things that are good and desirable.
1 Chronicles
Chronicles seem like a repeat of Samuel and Kings but they are not. The main theme is that God is always faithful to his covenant. 1 Chronicles begins with an outline of history from Adam through the death of King Saul. The rest of the book deals with the reign of King David. These books serve as both a warning and encouragement to the Jews to be faithful to the Covenant.

Something To Think About
TEACHER APPLICANT
After being interviewed by the school administration, the eager teaching prospect said: "Let me see if I've got this right. You want me to go into that room with all those kids, and fill their every waking moment with a love for learning, and I'm supposed to instill a sense of pride in their ethnicity, modify their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse and evencensor their T-shirt messages and dress habits.You want me to wage a war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases,check their backpacks for weapons of mass destruction, and raise their self esteem.You want me to teach them patriotism, good citizenship, sportsmanship, fair play, how to register to vote, how to balance a checkbook, and how to apply for a job.I am to check their heads for lice, maintain a safe environment,recognize signs of anti-social behavior, make sure all students pass the state exams, even those who don't come to school regularly or complete any of their assignments.Plus, I am to make sure that all of the students with handicapsget an equal education regardless of the extent of their mental or physical handicap.I am to communicate regularly with the parents by letter, telephone, newsletter and report card.All of this I am to do with just a piece of chalk, a computer, a few books, a bulletin board, a big smile AND on a starting salary that qualifies my family for food stamps!You want me to do all of this and then you tell me...I CAN'T PRAY?"

What Is Your Motive?
PROVERBS 16:2 NLT2 People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives.Motives are important to God.God is interested in WHY we do things, not just in WHAT we do.Why do you do what you do?Is it to help others? To please God? Or do you live focused totally on yourself?PROVERBS 21:2 LB2 We can justify our every deed, but God looks at our motives.1 CORINTHIANS 4:5 NIV5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At thattime each will receive his praise from God.One main reason we are not qualified to judge others is because we don't know their thoughts, intentions, and motives. Only God does.
