Are you still hanging around in darkness? In John 8:12, we findthat Jesus declares that He is the light of the world,and that those who follow Him shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Going alittle further, in 1 John 1:7 we are reminded that if we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son,cleanses us from all sin.
There is no light more magnificent and awesomethan the true Light, who is our Lord and Savior (see John 1:4-9).
No doubt, this Light is the inspiration for the hymn“Jesus the Light of the World”, which was arranged by George D. Elderkin around 1898.
