Memorial Day

Today being memorial day is a day to reflect on the people who served our country. Please pray for them today, and our country. And enjoy the day with friends and family.

Lord's Day

I look forward to Sunday's, Because it is the Lord's day. That is the day we go to church and worship God. Not to say everyday should be the Lord's day,to live for christ. But that upon the first day of the week(Sunday) the disciples came to break bread and take of the friut of the vine. Matt. 26:17-30, Luke 22:7-20. We should look forward to Sunday's and going to meet with the Lord.As we worship him in spirit and in truth. Know what's missing in ch_ _ ch? God Bless! Have a great Sunday.

Our God Is Alive

It is great that our God is alive. We look around and see all the beauty God has made. In Gen. 1:1 we have prove of that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This is the day in which the Lord as made rejoice and be Glad in it. So as you go about your day give thanks to where thanks is due. Our God!!!!!

His Cleansing Power

Titus 3:3-7 "At one time we to were foolish,disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of rightous things we had done, but because of is mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth. And renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs havin the hope of eternal life"

Wonderful Marelous He is to us. And washed in the blood that flowed at calvary, were pardon from sin and forever set free. He is a wonderful Savior to all of us. Amen

Awesome God

Our God is an awesome God; he reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power and love. Our God is an awesome God.

Psalms 31:24 Be of good courage, and He shall strenghten your heart, all ye who hope in the Lord

Last Sunday we had a potluck for our graduates. And me being the youth leader had to do the talk for it. I used this poem and I would like to share it with you. I think young and old alike can use this.
The road to success is not straight.
There is a curve called failure.
A loop called confusion,
speed bumps called friends,
red lights called enemies,
caution lights called family,
you will have flat called jobs.
But, if you have a spare called determination,
an engine call perseverance,
insurance called faith,
a driver called Jesus,
you will make it to a place called success.

A question was asked how many grads we had? When had 3 high school and 2 college. And all were from Westside.

John 14:12

I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do the same things I do. Those who believe will do even greater things than these.Because I am going to the Father.
We should expect God to do great things -through us. The point Jesus was trying to get across to His guy's was that, even though he was leaving them soon, they would take what He started and go further with it than he had. And that's just what happened. More people believed in Christ after Peter's first sermon than had during all the time Jesus' time here. The faith went world wide, While Jesus' ministry didn't go past the boundaries of the middle east, Now, the ministry falls on our shoulders....How are we going to respond?

Suffering as a Christian

1 Peter 4:12-14 "12. My friends, do not be surprised at the terrible trouble which now comes to test you. Do not think that something strange is happening to you. 13 But be happy.that you are sharing in Christ sufferings so that you will be happy and full of joy when Christ comes again in glory. 14 When people insult you because you follow Christ,you are blessed,because of the glorious Spirit, the Spirit of God is with you.
We are tested day in and day out.The devil is there to try to win us over, he wants us to mess up. But we must remain strong in all we do. God want's us to live for him. We have a good God he will never leave us or forsake us.

Graduation

Today my daughter graduated from college and I am so proud of her. Perhaps you know of someone who as graduated from high school or college let them know you are proud of them. It's great encouragement. It makes them feel good, and you'll feel good because you did it.

Prayer Request

2 Friends of my Bob and Chris Slatt lost there parents in a shooting . Pray that God will give them strength through this. If you have a prayer request please list it in the comment. And will pray for you.
