“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me” (Isaiah 46:9).
No doubt your life is complex, full of activities, appointments, deadlines and things to do. The busier our lives are the more we forget. With so much going on it’s just hard to remember everything.
The LORD knew we would be a forgetful people. Have you noticed the many times in the Bible where the LORD establishes a safeguard against our forgetfulness?
The Bible teaches that we are to gather around the LORD’S table each week, to remember His death, burial and resurrection. We partake of the wine and the bread, to remind us of His Body and Blood given for us on Calvary.“Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy Today, you’ll be going out, doing things, working, playing, and dealing with real life issues. Some will be enjoyable and some will be stressful. Please do not forget the things of the LORD. Pray, recite memorized Scriptures, sing unto the LORD and thank Him for what He has done in your life! He will go with You.sons, and thy sons' sons” (Deuteronomy 4:9).We must not become so engrossed by the daily activities of life that we forget to honor the LORD with our lives, to live our lives in such a way that gives Him glory.
