o come let us adore him

One of the favorite Christmas hymns has a refrain that goes like this:

O come, let us adore Him! O come, let us adore Him!

O come, let us adore Him – Christ, the Lord!

That's a great refrain, not only for the Advent/Christmas season, but for every season of the year and every season of our lives.

Let's adore Him because He is God – Jesus is Lord! Let's adore Him because He did what His name said He came to do – to save His people from their sins! Let's adore Him for His great love for us - “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

You who are beloved of the Lord, the few things I mentioned don't even begin to tip the iceberg. If we're creative enough, we could probably turn every single verse in the Bible and every single moment of our lives into a reason to adore Him. So I encourage you to take some time right now, even if others are sitting nearby, and have a little time of silent worship as you tell Him other reasons why you adore Him. This is a good way to start other times of prayer and worship as well.

God's best to you,
